Colva Beach

Only beach in South Goa that has a bit like a North Goa beach character. Its a public beach, visited by tourists to South Goa and has many restaurants / hotels around it. Shacks are setup on the beach in Winter.


Benaulim Beach

An idyllic beach front South of Colva. The Benaulim beach connects to Colva and one can enjoy a long beach walk in between. There are some restaurants and hotels around Benaulim.


Betalbatim Beach

Just North of Colva and home to Nanu Beach Resort. Colva is more popular of the beaches and therefore gets many more visitors. Betalbatim is relatively idyllic and quieter.


Goa Chitra Museum

The Goa Chitra is a museum based in Benaulim in South Goa. It has a large collection of over 4000 artefacts focusing on Goas portuguese colonial past. Goa Chitras collection includes examples of local pottery, farming tools, musical instruments, ancient carts and palanquins from different points of the past. It also showcases an organic farm for the cultivation of various vegetables, herbs, spices, sugarcane, and rice.


Our Lady Of Grace Church Madgaon

Our Lady of Rosary Church Navelim

It is believed that St. Francis Xavier used to teach catechism at Rosary Church to his followers seated around him. November 3rd is the day of the feast at Rosary Church


Church of Holy Spirit Madgaon

Built in 1675, Church of Holy Spirit Madgaon is one of the most impressive Churches in South Goa and example of Indian Baroque style church building.


Majorda Beach

A museum cum gallery called ancestral Goa has been built in Loutolim also called big foot. The largest known laterite sculpture of Mirabai is present in this theme park.


Arossim Beach

Arossim Beach is an idyllic beach in South Goa (between Colva and the Airport) and home to Heritage Village Resort. Arossim Stretch of beach is generally empty and less crowded and excellent for a walk.


Sal River

Sal River in South Goa opens near Cavelossim and Betul before meeting Arabian Sea. The entire stertch is scenic and has some cafeteria around for dining and is well visited by tourists visiting Cavelossem.

Casa Araujo Alvares

Casa Araujo Alvares is a 250 year old heritage mansion near Madgaon that is visited like a heritage museum for its heritage character and charm.


Braganca House

The Braganca House was built in the 17th century, 10 kms east of Madgaon in South Goa. The east wing has a small chapel with a relic of St. Francis Xavier alongwith the artefacts collected by the family over the years. There is a ballroom with antique chandeliers and heavily carved ornate rosewood furniture. The west wing of the house has exquisite furniture and Chinese porcelain from Macau. It also houses a collection of family portraits, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The library is believed to be the first private library in Goa having 5,000 leather bound books.


Rachol Seminary

Rachol Seminary is home to the Museum of Christian Art which chronicles the evolution of Christian /catholic art in Goa with interesting artifacts of the bygone era.


Palacio do Deao

The Palacio do Deao is a heritage mansion situated by the river near Quepem at 14 kms from Margao spread over 11,000 sq ft of floor area. It is built in an unique style of architecture and has an interesting blend of Hindu and Portuguese cultures.


Mahalaxmi Temple Ponda

Shri Mahalaxmi Temple is a popular Devi Temple situated 4 kms from Ponda at 300 meters from Nagesh Temple.


Hollant Beach

Hollant beach is one of the lesser visited beaches of South Goa near Bogmallo and Dabolim Airport. Its known to be the only beach in Goa where sunrise is visible.


Bogmallo Beach

A beach few kms from Dabolim Airport. There are a few restaurants, one premium resort and kind of beach where one can have a long walk.


Cabo De Rama

Fort Cabo De Rama Fort is a seaside fort named after Lord Rama. It is believed Lord Rama during epic tale of Ramayana took refuge here accompanied by his wife Sita during his exile from Ayodhya.


Nagueshi Temple Ponda

Nagueshi Temple is an ancient Lord Shiva temple (15th Century) near Mangeshi temple. Nagesh temple (as its also commonly referred) is visited all round the year by Pilgrims and tourists to Goa.
